For Starpath/BC Baseball Teams

Saturday, July 25, 2009; 9AM-Noon and/or Saturday, August 8, 2009; 9AM-Noon

At BC Baseball's Twin Oaks Complex

351 North Purdy Lane, Columbia, MO

The BC Baseball Academy, which is run by the BC Baseball League, has scheduled a Player Evaluation Day for placement on 2009 Fall Teams, 2010 Spring/Summer Teams or both at its Twin Oaks Complex in Columbia on Saturday, July 25, 2009 and Saturday, August 8, 2009, both beginning at 9AM.  These evaluations will take place regardless of the weather.  In case of inclement weather, we will have evaluations in the BC Baseball Academy Indoor Facility at Twin Oaks  (In cast of inclement weather, call BC Baseball's Hotline Number to check tryout location -- 573-442-3693.)

These evaluations will be used for the academy's Starpath teams and/or for other BC Baseball League teams.  Players  DO NOT have to attend both evaluations but can if they want.  Players which played for a Starpath team in the spring/summer of 2009 DO NOT need to attend either evaluation.  Players and parents of those players attending either evaluation should arrive a few minutes prior to the starting time to complete player information so the evaluations begin on time.

Openings are available on Starpath teams in every age group. This evaluation will not be high intensity and consist mostly of running, throwing and hitting. Players will need to provide their own gloves, bats, helmets (if you have one) and bring spikes or cleats (NOTE: Players also should have turf or tennis shoes in case the evaluation is moved to the indoor facility, which also is located at the Twin Oaks Complex). Players and parents will meet under the pavilion located between fields 2 and 3 at the Twin Oaks Complex before beginning the evaluation.

Player Evaluations Will Be Held For The Following Age Groups:

7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U

A players' age group is determined by their age as of April 30 of each year.  A player is allowed to play up, but cannot play down.  Generally, players fall in the following yearly time span:

14 & Under:  These teams generally are for players whose birthday falls between May 1, 1995 and April 30, 1996.
