The BC Baseball Academy, under the direction of Bob Coons, will be conducting tryouts for its fall and summer high school travel teams - Team BC-18U and Team BC-16U.  The tryouts will be conducted at the either the Twin Oaks Complex or the Atkins Complex at the Boone County Fairgrounds located off Highway 63 and Oakland Gravel Road and will be decided at a later time.  Tryouts will take place Monday, August 9, 2010 at 6PM, Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 6PM, and Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 1PM.  These tryouts will take place regardless of the weather.  In case of inclement weather, we will have tryouts in the BC Baseball Academy Indoor Facility at Twin Oaks  (In cast of inclement weather, call BC Baseball's Hotline Number to check tryout location -- 573-442-3693.)

Players only need to attend one of the tryout sessions; however they are welcome to attend multiple dates.  Players or Parents are encouraged to contact the BC Baseball Office at (573) 445-8999 to confirm attendance and/or e-mail an intention to attend (send to: bcoons@bcbaseball.org).  The information needed in advance, if possible, is the player's name, last school attended, last grade completed, birth date, and contact information (including e-mail addresses and phone numbers) so that the coaches may plan accordingly.  This is not mandatory and we will have players walk up for registration; however, this helps us to confirm the number of coaches available to run the tryouts/evaluations.

This fall, two high school aged select teams, Team BC-18U and Team BC-16U, will be picked from these tryouts to play a fall schedule of games on Saturday, Sunday or both for 7-8 weeks.  Team BC-18U will play against Junior Colleges and other select high school aged teams.  Team BC-16U will play against other high school aged teams and/or tournaments. These teams will have at least one practice per week.  These schedules are being confirmed at this time.
