The BC Baseball Academy, which is a part of the BC Baseball League, will be holding tryouts for its spring/summer 2010 Starpath Baseball Club teams on Monday, September 28, 2009 and Monday October 5, 2009, from 6PM to 8:30 PM on both days, and Saturday, October 17, 2009, from 9AM until Noon. The tryouts will be held at BC Baseball's Twin Oaks Complex, which is located at 351 North Purdy Lane in Columbia. These tryouts will take place in good weather or bad. If the weather is inclement, the tryouts will be moved into BC Baseball's Indoor Facility, which also is located at the Twin Oaks Complex.
Players are to provide their own baseball equipment for the tryouts (gloves, bats, helmets, spikes, baseball pants, etc.). Players also should bring turf, basketball or tennis shoes, in case the tryouts are moved indoors. The tryouts will not be intensive, as players will be asked to run, throw (from several stations) and hit.
Players and parents should arrive a few minutes prior to the starting time to complete player information so the tryouts can begin on time. Players and parents will meet under the pavilion located between fields 2 and 3 at the Twin Oaks Complex before beginning the tryouts. Players which have gone through evaluations this fall for the current fall Starpath Baseball Club teams DO NOT need to go through tryouts! Also, players which played for the Starpath Baseball Club teams during the 2009 spring/summer season DO NOT need to go through tryouts!
